What are the restaurant consumer trends?

Millennials (ages 25-34) spend the most dining out, averaging $95 per week. 43% of millennials eat out for convenience while 49% eat in restaurants because they provide social settings for them to spend time with friends and family.

Younger consumers are more likely to spend more on prepared foods than older generations

Respondents with an income between $50,000 and $60,000 eat out the most with an average of 4 times per week while those who earned an annual salary of $40,000 to $50,000 per year spent the most money eating out (roughly 12.25% to 15.31% of their income).

Men eat out on average 3.45 times per week and women 2.15 times. Men also spend an average $82 per week while dining out compared to women who spend $69
